As an AuDHDer, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work. Sensory sensitivities created significant challenges for me as a child, when being undiagnosed meant my struggles with food were often misunderstood. I was labelled a "fussy eater" who complained too much, when in reality, I was navigating a world that didn’t make sense to me. Over time, and through learning more about myself, I’ve managed to explore and enjoy new foods—although bananas remain my arch-nemesis. Food has even become a special interest for me, and I channel that passion into supporting others on their journeys with eating and feeding.
I specialise in working with neurodivergent individuals and families, including those navigating Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and the intersection of neurodivergence with eating and feeding disorders. My approach is affirming, trauma-informed, and family-centred, meeting each person where they are and helping them explore what authenticity can mean in a world that often invalidates their experiences. As a credentialed eating disorder clinician and Accredited Practising Dietitian, I provide support that empowers people to embrace their individuality and move away from neuronormative and diet culture pressures.
Home is my favourite place. I share a lively household full of neurodivergent energy and creativity with my husband, kids, two dogs, Ian and Delilah, and our recently adopted Russian Blue cat, Kitsune. I love spending time cooking in the kitchen or working on Lego sets, always following the instructions, never freestyling! These simple moments with my family bring me the most joy and reflect the connection and authenticity I strive for at home and in my work.
